A Definite Sign of Spring

Maxwell After Bath 1

One slightly damp, very peeved dog who has just had a bath.

Spring means mud and leftover dead things which were buried all winter.  Perfect stuff to roll in.  He’ll never get why we think this is a bad idea.

A dirty dog is a happy dog! … as any dog can tell you, if only you’d listen.

That is one GREAT pissed-off look.
Dorrie has a way of puffing her cheeks at us when she’s annoyed, and you can’t tell me I’m anthropomorphizing — she adds new meaning to the word “huffy.” Dr. Evil looks much the same.

Ha Ha- the doggie doo comment! How true, my backyard is a land mine now, and it snowed again today and covered it all up!

And he’s light. Ours is grey so sometimes the dirt is disguised (but not that smell)!

I love the little lip action… we had a border collie that would give us ‘the lip’. The onset of mud season is why I trimmed about 5 inches of hair off of one dog and 4 off of the other (they’re down to about an inch).
