Mystery House

A Necessary Bit of Finishing

Before starting a huge new project, it feels good to finish something.  Even if it’s just a pair of socks.  And after a long, tiring day of working on the aforementioned new project, nothing is better than this:

Covelite Socks Done

Husband.  Dog.  Drinkies.  Socks.

They’re not the most perfectly kitchenered socks it the world.  Yes, I know the toes have tiny little horns.  But they’re done, and done is very, very important at the moment.

See, when I say “project,” I’m not talking about casting on something with yarn.  Oh, I wish I was.

The last time we tore up something in the house was ages and ages ago right before Christmas.  Despite the mess that project made, it was, comparatively speaking, not one of our more elaborate endeavors.  This time?  A facelift for the largest room in the house.

Take another look at the colors in my socks.  You’ll be seeing them again…

As someone who seems to live in a constant state of “Under Construction” I am dying to see what you’re up to!

I actually envy you…we’ve pretty much decided that it’s doesn’t make sense to start anything major until after both kids are in college, so we have a couple years yet.
In the meantime – socks are always a good project!

Painting?? I’ve never painted (too chicken)–we just hire professionals to do it.

  9. I hope you had a drink in YOUR hand also! Love the colors in your socks and the slanted strips are interesting. Say … are you painting the walls to match your socks? Oh … it was a trick right? LOL.
