Shetland Triangle Done

I finished my Shetland Triangle a few weeks ago, but until this weekend I hadn’t gotten around to taking pictures of it all blocked and looking pretty.  Those of you who saw it live at the Casa KnitThink party recently know that the color is actually a deeper, darker purple than it appears to be in these photos.

I’m quite pleased with the way it came out.  The yarn was lovely to work with, and the shawl is very soft and cozy to wear without being heavy.  Who doesn’t need a touch of glamorous lace on a cold February day?

Well, one person claims that the shawl is defective since it doesn’t have a pocket for treats.  But he has pretty much the same opinion of all my knitting.

That is one seriously gorgeous shawl! Yum. The colors, the pattern… you chose well! (And dyed well!)

Your camera did a pretty good job of capturing the deep color – at least on my monitor. This is such a pretty shawl – and you know – just not the right color for Dr. Evil anyway so he should not be looking for treats there 🙂

Very pretty, indeed! And I’m sure my mutts think that no clothing item is complete without a treat pocket as well.

Well, really. No treat pockets are a serious flaw.

    That is just gorgeous.
And, depending on what the treats are, perhaps you could knot them around the edge as fringe?

Still not good enough. Pictures do not capture gorgeuosity of yarn. (yes, that’s a word–and how you spell it, too. It’s ok. laugh! 🙂
Seriously, though. The purple colorway that you achieved was electric– it made the shawl just glow on your shoulders a few Sundays ago!

I’m pretty sure I told you this in person, but I’ll say it again, that’s a beautiful shawl. It is the perfect foil to the winter blues, despite’s it’s pocketless failings.
